What began in 2023 with our founders, Miguel Alatorre and Brian Cadena, has grown into a powerful, community-driven organization making real change. Today, UNIDOS Network Inc. has:
• Seven part-time staff members leading advocacy, outreach, and program development.
• Ten dedicated volunteers working to expand our impact.
• Seven board members bringing expertise in environmental justice, policy, and community organizing.
• A six-figure operating budget ensuring long-term sustainability.
• Over $20,000 invested directly into the community, supporting local programs, advocacy, and education initiatives.
Our work is rooted in community expertise. We believe that those most affected by environmental injustices should be compensated for their knowledge and leadership, which is why we pay community members for their time and insights on public health, environmental safety, infrastructure, and public education matters.
As a growing organization, we have direct connections with local, state, and federal agencies, which we use to bring resources into our communities, advocate for policy changes, and create long-term solutions for rural areas like Kettleman City.
